The police are conducting an investigation into a traffic accident in Sevastopol, on Karantinnaya Street, involving a passenger car and a passenger bus.
According to preliminary data, today, at 6:14, a 46-year-old driver of a Mitsubishi Lancer in the area of house No. 51 on Karantinnaya Street did not take into account the road and weather conditions, and did not choose a safe speed for movement, lost control on a curve in the roadway and drove into the oncoming traffic lane, where he collided with a BAZ bus driven by a 52-year-old driver, who was moving straight in the opposite direction. After which, due to the impact, the BAZ bus drove off the roadway to the left.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the BAZ bus died at the scene of the accident, three passengers of the BAZ bus and the driver of the Mitsubishi received preliminary bodily injuries. During the medical examination, it was established that the driver of the foreign car was sober— the Sevastopol Department of Internal Affairs reported.
The traffic police of Sevastopol, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Sevastopol and other emergency services immediately arrived at the scene of the road accident. An investigation is underway into the road accident with the deceased and injured.
