Fatal accident in Sevastopol: for some reason the trolleybus driver did not see the pedestrian at the crossing

The police are investigating an accident in Sevastopol involving a trolleybus in which a 27-year-old pedestrian died. As the traffic police clarified, a fatal accident occurred this morning (at 8:05) in the area of house No. 13 on General Ostryakov Avenue.
A 43-year-old trolleybus driver hit a 27-year-old man who was crossing the road at a marked unregulated pedestrian crossing from right to left in the direction of travel of the trolleybus. As a result of the accident, the pedestrian died on the spot from his injuries before the arrival of the ambulance team.— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.
Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate and the police investigative team worked at the scene of the accident. Eyewitnesses to the incident were interviewed, CCTV footage was confiscated, and appropriate examinations were ordered to establish all the circumstances and causes of the fatal accident.
