CrimeaPRESS reports:
The police are investigating a traffic accident on the Simferopol-Alushta highway involving a car and a motorcycle. The fatal accident occurred at night (00:30) within the boundaries of the village of Pionerskoye.
The driver, born in 1958, driving a VAZ-2107, moving along a secondary road from Parnikovaya Street in the village of Pionerskoye, at an unregulated intersection of unequal roads did not give way to a YAMAHA motorcycle driven by a driver, born in 1987, who was moving along the main road from Alushta in the direction of Simferopol. As a result of the accident, the motorcycle driver died on the spot from his injuries, and the driver of the VAZ-2107 received bodily injuries and was taken to a medical facility— the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate reported.
All emergency services were working at the scene of the accident. All circumstances of the fatal accident are being clarified.
