A resident of the Krasnogvardeisky district was found guilty of violating traffic rules, which negligently caused the death of a person. The tragic story is:

In December 2022, citizen N., having a driver’s license for the right to drive a vehicle and driving experience since 2007, driving a technically serviceable car in which, as a passenger, citizen K. was in the front passenger seat, during daylight hours , in wet road conditions, showing inattention to the traffic situation, criminal frivolity in ensuring road safety, did not take into account the current traffic situation, did not make sure that the U-turn maneuver performed by him was safe, without giving a left turn signal on the car he was driving or with his own hand , without giving way to a passing vehicle, began to carry out a left turn maneuver in the opposite direction, as a result of which he collided with a car moving in the passing direction— said the press service of the Krasnogvardeisky District Court of the Republic of Crimea.

As a result of a traffic accident, the passenger of the car (citizen K.) received multiple injuries and died on the spot.

During the consideration of the criminal case, the defendant admitted his guilt in the commission of the crime on the charge brought, repented of his deed, compensated for the damage caused.

Taking into account the nature and degree of public danger of the crime committed, the personality of the defendant, circumstances mitigating the punishment, the court decided that the correction of the defendant is possible when he is sentenced to 1 year in prison, with the imposition of an additional punishment in the form of deprivation of the right to engage in activities related to management all types of vehicles for a period of 2 yearsthey say in court.

The actions of a resident of the Krasnogvardeisky district are qualified by the court, according to Part 3 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation — a violation of the rules of the road, negligently resulting in the death of a person.
