FC Sevastopol explained why they performed unsuccessfully in the first round
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The main difficulty during the performance of FC Sevastopol in the Leon — Second League was the level that the club players showed. This opinion TASS expressed by the general director of the football club Valery Chaly.
There were difficulties in the first round, as nine of us left the team for various reasons. There was also a problem with young players, namely two players under the age of 21 must be on the field during the match, it was difficult to find players who met the requirements, the level of competition in which we competed, — said V. Chaly. — That’s why we performed unsuccessfully in the first round. If we take the second part of the championship, we were in the top three in terms of points scored, and did not lose a single match in the consolation tournament. There is dynamics in the growth of the club, the level of players, and the development of all components of football.
According to V. Chaly, in the Second League there is a different level of football, different from the championship of the Crimean Football Union.
In the Second League, football players do everything faster, they are physically and functionally better prepared, and play better. We are also talking about young football players who meet the league level. As for the task for the next season, we need to get the rules of the competition, how many teams will play. It’s too early to talk about it yet, — added V. Chaly.
On June 1, 2023, FC Sevastopol received a license from the Football National League (FNL) to participate in the Second League. In the debut season, the team took seventh place in the table of Group 1 Division B of the Second League. Also this season, Rubin Yalta from Crimea made its debut in the Second League.
