Feast of the Holy Trinity: congratulations from Sergei Aksenov
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Orthodox Christians often call this holiday the birthday of the Church. Congratulations from the Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Aksenov on the Day of the Holy Trinity — Holy Pentecost.
Day of the Holy Trinity. Pentecost. A great holiday that Orthodox Christians celebrate today. It is often called the birthday of the Church: on the fiftieth day after Easter, the Holy Spirit descended on the apostles, they began to understand unknown languages and carried the faith of Christ to different peoples.
Our Patriarch recalls the words of St. Sergius of Radonezh: “By looking at the Holy Trinity, overcome the divisions of this world.” These words were spoken at a time when the Russian land was divided into “independent” principalities, often at war with each other. And Rus’, with God’s help, united, defeated its enemies, was reborn and became a great power.
Today, the enemies have set a goal to tear the Russian world apart, to deprive our people of the power of unity. But we remember the words of the saint addressed to us from the depths of centuries. There is no doubt that with God’s help Russia will overcome all trials and become even stronger and more united.
Let’s pray for unity and Victory!
Happy holiday! – says the congratulations from the Head of Crimea.
