February 12 — St. Basil's Day. Bollur!

On the day of St. Vasily, our ancestors did not go to the forest: it was believed that on this day animals celebrate their weddings. They fight with each other, determining who will get the best representative of the pack. So people at this time in nature are not a place.

At the same time, the main dishes today were meat treats on the tables. Including from wild birds and animals.

But on weather signs on February 12 — rich day:

• If the crows croak loudly near the house and try to climb under the Strechs of the barns — wait for the snowstorm.

According to popular beliefs, on February 12 you can build any plans — they will be successful. If you expose old shoes outside the door today, then you will be able to avoid quarrels and disagreements in the family for next year. But now it is categorically not to be angry and jealous now — a bad sign. And the quarrels must be peaceful for Vasilyev’s day — or they will spend the whole year in enmity.
