Krympress reports:
February 15 — Memorial Day about the Russians who performed official duty outside the fatherland. On this day in 1989, the last divisions of the Soviet troops were withdrawn from the territory of Afghanistan.
The internationalist warriors are the patriotic avant-garde of Russia. They defended the interests of our country in the hot spots of the world, their courage and heroism, fidelity to duty and love for the Motherland — a worthy example for young people, for all of us.
In 2014, many veterans of Afghanistan joined the ranks of the People’s Militia of Crimea, made a great contribution to the victory of the Crimean spring, to maintain peace and stability on our land, and today they do a lot to support their and our warriors to protect the peninsula from enemies, bring them closer to the defeat Nazism.
Eternal memory to the fallen fighters! Low bow to our heroes! — says in the commentary of the head of Crimea.
