On the Day of Zechariah the Sickle-Seer, people pay tribute to the memory of one of the 12 minor prophets, named in the book of Nehemiah as the head of the priestly family. He received the nickname “Sickle Seer” because in one of his dreams he saw a large sickle floating in the air, which turned out to be actually a scroll with written revelations from the Lord.
