Feel like part of history: in the Crimean capital you can go on a “promenade” by era
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The historical promenade performance “Simferopol: the story of a lost dream” was launched in the Crimean capital. According to Tourist portal of Crimeaparticipants can “go” to the past, where they will meet famous people — Empress Catherine II, Vladimir Mayakovsky, Archbishop Luka of Crimea.
How to “travel” through time.
You put on special headphones, and in the blink of an eye the world around you begins to transform. The noise of the modern city gives way to the sounds of previous eras, historical figures come to life before your eyes. Streets and houses become settings in which an amazing plot develops, and you yourself become an integral part of it— the organizer of the event — an art project — intrigued On promenade.ru.
During the immersive performance, you will meet Metropolitan Gury and Archbishop Luka of Crimea, meet Empress Catherine II and poet Vladimir Mayakovsky, receive an invitation to dinner from the wife of a large landowner, Sophia Schneider, and philosophize about life with an unusual postman who delivers romantic letters to recipients through the ages, state dispatches, triangular funerals and telegrams.
Using special headphones, three-dimensional audio recording draws 3D sound images around the listener, and city streets turn into living scenery. Sound allows you to restore the details and atmosphere of historical events, and music creates an emotional coloring. Thanks to this, event participants are involved in what is happening and feel part of it.
When creating a play about Simferopol, we set ourselves the non-trivial task of showing that Simferopol is not only the gates of Crimea, but also a city where dreams are born and come true, where the paths of world-famous personalities crossed, who left a great cultural heritage, and that each of the listeners, perhaps he will also write his name in history,” explained the idea of the promenade performance by its creators.
