Feodosia firefighters conducted training exercises at the Alye Parusa hotel
CrimeaPRESS reports:
On November 30, in Feodosia, on the territory of the Scarlet Sails hotel, fire-tactical exercises of an increased level of complexity were held. Their goal is to test the combat readiness of units of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations to extinguish fires at recreation and tourism facilities, as well as to develop an algorithm for interaction between the fire extinguishing operational headquarters and the administration of the institution.
According to legend, the fire in the hotel broke out during the daytime. The fire occurred as a result of an electrical short circuit. A residential room on the 3rd floor was on fire. The rapid spread of the flame was accompanied by strong smoke. The fire alarm went off. The evacuation of staff and guests took place within a few minutes. But despite quick notification of the fire, several people were unable to leave the building and were cut off from escape routes.— reported the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea.
When firefighters arrived, the area of the training fire was 50 square meters. Imitation tools were widely used in training, but conventions were kept to a minimum. The flames are red flags, but the firefighter’s sleeves, barrels and full equipment are «combat». All actions are as in an emergency — localize and extinguish the fire.
To search for conditionally victims, reconnaissance was carried out by the GDZS units. The conditions and pace of the lesson are the same as in a real fire situation — zero visibility. The “victims” were two maids. They were discovered by gas and smoke protection workers and evacuated in self-rescuers along flights of stairs to a safe area. Such training techniques help improve the physical and tactical skills of firefighters to work more effectively in the event of a real fire.— said the rescuers.
In total, 51 personnel and 10 pieces of equipment were involved in fire-tactical exercises from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.
