The boys and girls of the Lazurny children’s camp revealed their talents at the festival “We are more than me!” The event was organized by the International Children’s Center «Artek» together with the center’s thematic partner, the Committee for Culture of the Odintsovo Urban District of the Moscow Region.
Our Seasons program is very diverse. We teach children everything in a complex — acting, vocals, choreography, ritual traditions. This time we are doing a theatrical performance in conjunction with the festival of creativityexplained the organizers.
As part of the festival, each Lazurny squad presented a theatrical and musical performance on the theme of the New Year holidays. In their performances, Artek residents reminded the audience of the main meanings and values of these holidays. In addition, the festival became an opportunity for boys and girls to show their talents to the entire camp.
It was very exciting; at Artek I started performing on stage for the first time. I like that Artek gives me the opportunity to express myself creatively. Our performance teaches us to honor traditions, and it is also about the fact that there is no need to be lazy— said Artem Kapikov, Sarapul.
It’s great that when you come to Artek, you find motivation to be creative and people who can push you to develop. We are the organizing team. The plot of our issue is this: on the day of the winter solstice, we move to 1953 and discuss with the Artek residents of that time the Artek traditions that unite us. Our performance teaches that we need to honor traditions and the connection between generations– shared Leonid Yanitsky, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
Talents now are what we need to rely on. I myself am from the Zaporozhye region, and in our region we now pay a lot of attention to the development of youth talents, and the older generation helps us in this. For example, I started taking photographs myself with the help and support of my mentor. At Artek I continue to be creative and develop my talents, for example, photography. The idea of our squad is to show that society can change you both positively and negatively. Therefore, it is important to choose the right environment— said Konstantin, Melitopol.
