Festival «Tavrida.ART» under the reliable wing of the Ministry of Emergency Situations — fire-tactical exercises took place

Every year the festival «Tavrida.ART» becomes a point of attraction for talented youth from all over Russia, as well as guests and residents of the Crimea. Bright shows, educational formats and meetings with famous figures of culture and art come to the fore. However, for an event of this magnitude to be successful, security must be ensured. Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are heroes who remain in the shadows, but whose work is especially important and valuable.

During the period of preparation for the Festival of Young Art «Tavrida.ART» within the framework of ensuring technogenic and fire safety on the territory of the Academy of Creative Industries «Meganom» on July 12 training fire-tactical exercises were held. They were attended by 12 units of special equipment and more than 50 personnel of the EMERCOM of Russia. Such exercises are a necessary condition for ensuring and maintaining security at the Tavrida.ART Festival, which will be held in August, as well as for the full and safe operation of the Meganom Academy.

According to the tactical plan, the fire broke out on the second floor in the Na Calm bistro building. In the room of the exhaust ventilation chamber, there was a short circuit in the electrical panel and there was a threat of the fire spreading to the neighboring rooms and the upper floor. After the fire alarm signal, the facility personnel reported the incident by calling 112 and proceeded to extinguish the simulated fire with primary fire extinguishing equipment. At the same time, the persons responsible for fire safety carried out actions to evacuate people from the bistro building.

Firefighters from the 21st fire and rescue unit quickly arrived at the scene of a simulated incident according to the rank of fire No. 2. At the time of the arrival of the units, the simulated flame quickly spread and the fire area exceeded 100 square meters. Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia conducted a combat deployment and began to extinguish a simulated fire. An operational headquarters was also deployed to coordinate the actions of all forces and means involved in the operation.

Two people were cut off from evacuation routes in dangerous areas of strong conditional smoke. During the reconnaissance by the GDZS link, the victims were discovered, evacuated and handed over to the ambulance staff.

In the meantime, the interaction services carried out their tasks: the police cordoned off the fire site, the gas service disconnected the facility from the gas supply, and Krymenergo employees disconnected the facility from the power supply. All participants in the exercises acted quickly and harmoniously. This made it possible to work out all the inputs in less than an hour. All goals and objectives of today’s exercises were successfully completed.

Throughout the educational season, employees of the Russian Emergencies Ministry will ensure the safety of the Tavrida art cluster in several areas at once — this is round-the-clock combat duty and preventive work, including briefings on the rules of safe behavior in various emergency situations, providing assistance and using primary fire extinguishing means.

«Tavrida.ART» is a platform of opportunities that helps young people realize their professional potential in culture and art. Organizer — ANO «Center for the Development of Cultural Initiatives». «Tavrida.ART» is included in the federal project «Youth of Russia» of the national project «Education» and is implemented with the support of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh). Tavrida began its history in 2015, when it received the status of the All-Russian Youth Educational Forum. In 2019, Tavrida grew into an art cluster that brought together educational races, a festival, a casting platform, a grant competition, a federal network of art residences, a project accelerator, the Meganom Academy of Creative Industries, and other projects. In 2023, by order of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, Tavrida was transformed into the first youth and educational resort in Russia. Currently, work is underway to develop the territory and expand the infrastructure.
