Fictitious registration of foreigners is a violation of the law. Criminal case in Sevastopol

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The prosecutor’s office of the Balaklava district of Sevastopol sent to court a criminal case about fictitious registration of foreigners at their place of stay in Russia.

The prosecutor’s office of the Balaklava district of Sevastopol approved an indictment in a criminal case against a local resident born in 1972. She is charged under Art. 322.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fictitious registration of a foreign citizen at the place of stay in the Russian Federation). According to investigators, from January to July 2022, for a monetary reward, the woman fictitiously registered four citizens of Tajikistan at her place of residence in a private house in a gardening partnership. During the specified period, she submitted notifications about the arrival of foreign citizens, although in reality she did not intend to provide them with her home for living. Thus, it deprived the authorized bodies of the opportunity to exercise control in the field of migration,” noted the press service of the Sevastopol prosecutor’s office.

The investigation into the criminal case was carried out by the investigative department for the Balaklava district of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the city of Sevastopol. The district prosecutor’s office sent the criminal case to the magistrate of the Balaklava judicial district of Sevastopol for consideration on the merits.
