Fighters of Russian Studyadov on the International Day of Gift of Books transferred more than a thousand books to Crimean children's libraries
Krympress reports:
From January 13 to February 14, the efforts of the fighters of Russian student detachments in the Republic of Crimea held the annual volunteer campaign “Give the Book for the Child”, dedicated to the International Day of Gift of Books. Over the course of a month, the Stadot -Roddets collected books from all over the peninsula, and the leaders of schools, universities and colleges, residents of Simferopol and other municipalities of Crimea also joined the action.
The action has been held since 2018 and is aimed at developing volunteering, the popularization of reading and replenishing the funds of libraries of orphanages and boarding schools of the Republic of Crimea. Over the 7 years of the action, more than eight thousand books were collected and transferred to the libraries of orphanages.
This year, fighters of Russian student detachments have collected more than a thousand children’s books, which were transferred to Crimean children’s libraries on February 14.
It’s not the first year on February 14 that the Crimean Stad Committee of the Crimea has been transmitting children’s books for our library. They are the most popular among the guys and therefore wear out quite quickly. Since children’s literature, beautifully illustrated, is also quite expensive, there are difficulties with the acquisition of new and replacement of worn children’s books. The initiative that students from the North Ossetia annually implement us help us update children’s literature for young and middle -aged children. This is a wonderful example of student volunteering, -said the director of the Chebotar special boarding school Irina Kovalchuk.
Crimea studies annually take part in the gift of books annually. This action helps children touch the amazing world of literature, expand their horizons, and we give them a little joy. We are sure that each book is a new story, adventure and many vivid emotions. We are glad that we can become part of this important process. Together we create a future filled with knowledge and dreams, — Shared by the head of the Crimean regional branch of Russian student detachments, Ekaterina Denesyuk.
