Fire destroyed two cars and garage in Saksky district

CrimeaPRESS reports:

On September 5, at 15:19, the rescue service received a message that a garage was on fire in the village of Uyutnoye (in the Saki district) on the territory of a private household.

Three departments of the 5th fire and rescue squad (Yevpatoria) were immediately sent to the call. Upon arrival at the scene, it was found that two cars were burning with an open flame in the garage at once. Due to the content of fuels and lubricants, the flame quickly spread through the structure and made it difficult to extinguish. It took employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia one and a half hours to eliminate the fire. The area of the fire was 65 square meters— reported in the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea.

A 35-year-old man with burns on his hands, who was engaged in welding work, was handed over to the ambulance team by firefighters.

As it turned out, the cause of the fire was a gross violation of fire safety rules during welding. The man was cooking the threshold of the car. At the time of welding, the scale got on the seat. Being in a welding mask, he did not immediately notice that the flame began to spread rapidly through the cabin. Having missed the moment, the fire extinguisher located in the car did not even help the man. Trying to put out the flames with improvised means, the victim only aggravated the situation and received burns.

Only since the beginning of September, Crimean firefighters have already eliminated 44 fires, of which 14 are man-made, and 30 are associated with the ignition of dry vegetation and debris.
