Fire-tactical exercises at an increased level of complexity were held in Simferopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In Simferopol, on the territory of the Crimean Vodka Company enterprise, employees of the Specialized and 1st Fire and Rescue Squads of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea worked out an algorithm of actions in the event of a fire and carrying out related rescue operations. Taking into account the complexity and specificity of the object, the conditional fire was assigned an increased rank of complexity.
According to the tactical plan, a fire broke out as a result of a violation of the integrity of the tank structure. The difficulty of extinguishing was the rapid spread of flammable liquid.
To fight a fire of this complexity, firefighters used special heat-reflective suits TOK-200, which are designed to protect against the thermal effects of elevated temperatures. The kit protects against adverse climatic influences: negative temperatures, wind, precipitation, water and solutions of surfactants, oil, petroleum products— said the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Crimea.
The fire was extinguished using compression foam. It is widely used to extinguish fires in industrial enterprises, warehouses, oil storage facilities, and transport. It took employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations less than an hour to complete all assigned tasks.
In total, 11 units of special fire equipment and 41 personnel from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations were involved in extinguishing the mock fire.
