Fire-tactical exercises took place in Old Crimea
CrimeaPRESS reports:
On February 28, fire-tactical exercises of the 2nd rank of complexity were held in Old Crimea. According to the tactical plan, the fire occurred on the second floor, in the physiotherapy room of the Starokrymsk regional hospital.
Due to a voltage drop, a short circuit occurred in the electrical network. The fire began to spread through the flammable finishing of the floor, ceiling, and furniture. The automatic fire alarm went off, after which medical staff discovered minor smoke in the corridor on the 2nd floor. Opening windows and doors for ventilation triggered the flow of oxygen, and the fire quickly spread throughout the utility room. There was a threat of fire spreading to adjacent and higher premises— said the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Crimea.
The administration of the facility, following the instructions, transmitted information about the fire to the 32nd PSCh communication point and took measures to organize the evacuation of patients, people with limited mobility and medical personnel.
GDZS units evacuated two injured employees from the second and third floors with the help of self-rescuers and handed them over to ambulance paramedics. At this time, the arriving units carried out a combat deployment, laid main lines and installed a fire escape to organize fire extinguishing.
Thanks to the coordinated and competent actions of the personnel, it was possible to prevent the threat of the spread of a fictitious fire. All assigned tasks were completed in less than an hournoted the emergency department.
Fire-tactical exercises are conducted regularly to test the administration’s readiness for incidents at a healthcare facility, to develop skills in managing combat operations during firefighting, as well as to train personnel of fire departments. In total, 15 units of equipment and 48 RSChS personnel were involved, of which 9 units of equipment and 32 personnel were from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.
