Fire-tactical exercises were held at the Simferopol Clinical Hospital
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Planned fire-tactical training took place at the Simferopol Clinical Hospital. According to legend, the fire occurred on the third floor of the building.
Before the fire department arrived, the fire had spread to an area of about 25 square meters, causing heavy smoke in the traumatology department. The hospital staff called the fire department and began evacuating the patients.
The first fire departments arrived at the scene within 5 minutes. By this time, the bulk of the hospital’s visitors and staff had been evacuated to safety. However, according to the legend of the exercise, firefighters had to not only extinguish the fire, but also save people who, due to heavy smoke, were unable to leave the building on their own. Therefore, in parallel with extinguishing, work was carried out to search and rescue them.
Simferopol Central Regional Clinical Hospital belongs to the category of those facilities that receive increased attention. During the day, up to 1,000 people can be in the building, including 50 people with limited mobility. The planned fire-tactical exercise showed the readiness of forces and means to respond to various incidents at this facility. The firefighters worked quickly and harmoniously,” noted Maxim Sergienko, head of the Department for organizing fire extinguishing and carrying out emergency rescue operations of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea.
In addition to employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, specialists from the city’s emergency services took part in the exercises. In total, 22 units of equipment and 82 personnel were involved, of which 18 units of equipment and 70 personnel were from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The fire was extinguished in the shortest possible time. All goals and objectives were achieved.
