Firefighters and rescuers from different regions of Russia overcame 800 steps on Sevastopol Cape Fiolent

Picturesque landscapes — a difficult route. Firefighters and rescuers from different regions of the country experienced their strength and endurance, taking part in the competition in the speedy rise of the gas -dymatic defenders of the “legendary challenge”. The struggle for the championship unfolded in one of the most attractive natural corners of Sevastopol — at Cape Fiolent. The distance covered part of the famous staircase leading up the rock from the shore of the Jashmovy beach.

Participants needed to overcome almost 800 steps for a minimum period of time-this is the height of a 30-story building. Moreover, it was necessary to act in complete combat equipment, including in the apparatus in compressed air.

We have more than 50 participants, including 9 girls. The teams came from St. Petersburg, Moscow, Moscow Region, Kalmykia, the Republic of Crimea, — says Denis Yurchenko, deputy head of the Main Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for the city of Sevastopol (according to the State Fire Service).

The importance of competitions in training endurance and preparing fire fighters to overcome difficult distances, because such races often have to make on fires. A separate race was made by local journalists. All participants showed an impressive result, practically without reducing the pace and without losing zeal to victory.

Sevastopol Participant Marina Zasypkina won 2 place in the female standings.

In the competition, I participate a second time, I come, I like it very much, very cool, amazing views. I think that every fireman should definitely come, participate in these competitions, try his hand. Compared to last year, I improved my result for 15 seconds. Of course, I trained stubbornly, prepared to show a more decent time. Arriving here, we only thought how to win a team. Personal results seem to go into the background. The main thing is the team, victory in the team, — Senten Sergei Tsarev, a representative of the team of the Main Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry for the city of Moscow.

A very interesting distance! We arrived, on the first day we just came to take a walk on the steps and thought — it seems as if it were easy. And today, when it was hard with the load and in the device, in fact there were a lot of moments, when I just wanted to get up, catch my breath, or slow down, but somehow managed to overcome. You do not know at such a distance where there will be a finish. The event was dedicated to the anniversary dates-the upcoming 150th anniversary of the fire department of Sevastopol, the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, the 35th anniversary of the Russian Emergencies Ministry and the Day of the Soviet fire department.
