Fish are being saved from freezing in the Black Sea region of Crimea
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Using compressors, they started the aeration process so that the fish could breathe oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide.— the statement quotes the words of the deputy head of the administration, Alexander Dudinov.
It is noted that the fish are dying due to abnormally hot weather. The water temperature reaches plus 30-31 degrees. High temperatures lead to rotting of algae, which causes a sharp release of hydrogen sulfide and a drop in oxygen levels.
Local residents, entrepreneurs, volunteers and vacationers collect fish so that it does not start to decompose in the sun. Water samples and fish have been sent for analysis.
