Five hundred viols will decorate Victory Square in Simferopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Today in Simferopol, flower planting is in full swing. According to Gorzelenkhoz, the main work took place in Victory Park on Thursday. Here, from early morning, they not only plant flowers, but also repair flower beds.
We continue our spring flower planting campaign. Today, Gorzelenkhoz employees planted 500 violas in Victory Square. We carry out similar work every year. Soon the planted plants will delight residents and guests of the capital of Crimea,” said Deputy Director of the Municipal Budgetary Institution “Gorzelenkhoz” Maria Baranenkova.
Viola is directly related to the genus of the violet family. These plants can be found mostly in temperate climates and mountainous regions of the Northern Hemisphere. This genus, according to various sources, includes 400–700 species.
This plant blooms incredibly abundantly. Depending on when the plant was planted, flowering can be observed from the second half of March to the end of spring, or from August until frost. There are hybrids that bloom throughout the summer or 2 times per season.
