The head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, at an extraordinary meeting of the Government Commission for the Prevention and Elimination of Emergency Situations and Ensuring Fire Safety under the leadership of the Minister of Emergency Situations of Russia Alexander Vyacheslavovich Kurenkov, reported on the progress of eliminating the consequences that arose as a result of the passage of dangerous weather phenomena in Crimea.
According to him, the disaster affected 320 settlements in 18 municipalities. Power supply was disrupted in 273 settlements, over 500 thousand people were without electricity.
As a result of the disaster, 12 people were injured. Unfortunately, 5 people died,” Aksyonov clarified.
In addition, the November storm flooded 159 private households, 2 apartment buildings, 193 personal plots, 60 country houses in three municipalities.
125 incidents related to limited heat supply were recorded, 873 related to damage to the roofs of buildings and structures.
Coastal protection structures, beaches and embankments in the cities of Yalta, Alushta, Evpatoria, Feodosia, Kerch, Sudak, as well as in coastal rural settlements, were most damaged.
More than 3 thousand people and 350 pieces of equipment were involved in eliminating the consequences of the emergency situation. The interdepartmental operational headquarters continues to work. In the first hours, 445 people, including 69 children, were evacuated from flooded residential buildings. Currently, 53 people remain in temporary accommodation centers, including 6 children. All are fully provided with hot meals— said the Head of Crimea.
As of this morning, about 1,600 subscribers remain without power supply (of which about 500 are in the Simferopol region). The supply of water to the population is organized, 25 units of equipment are involved. 60 private households, 2 apartment buildings, 38 country houses, 83 personal plots were freed from water.
As for the amounts of damage caused by bad weather, the bill already amounts to tens of billions of rubles.
At the moment, preliminary damage in Crimea is about 39 billion 700 million rubles. The main share of the calculation falls on the restoration of bank protection structures— said the Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Sadakliev the day before.
