«CRIMEA-SPAS» evacuated 5 tourists who got lost in the area of Mount Sedam-Kaya (in the Bakhchisarai region). Information that in the area of the Barskaya Polyana tourist site was received by the emergency department the day before (at 13:10). The duty personnel of the Bakhchisarai emergency rescue team “CRIMEA-SPAS” and employees of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea went to the scene of the incident. After 1 hour and 20 minutes, a group of tourists was discovered on a rocky ledge 50 meters high on Mount Sedam-Kaya.
Due to the difficult terrain, it was decided to evacuate people using climbing equipment. No one needed medical care. After this, the rescuers accompanied the tourists to the nearest settlement, and also held a preventive conversation with them about a safe visit to the mountain-forest zone of the peninsula— reported the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea.
