Flooded areas are being dealt with on the South Coast
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The head of the Yalta administration, Yanina Pavlenko, visited Krasnokamenka and Gurzuf, where a number of households were flooded, as well as Vasilievka, where the river destroyed a bridge.
In Krasnokamenka there are large deposits of soil, and there is flooding of households. We are thinking about how to intercept water above the affected areas. Now we are using technology to remove sediment and help clear yards,” the press service quotes the head of the Yalta administration, Yanina Pavlenko.
According to the head of the Yalta administration, restoration work in the village was carried out in several areas simultaneously.
Some territories in Gurzuf were also affected by the rampant disaster — there, too, the head of the administration visited a number of flooded households and talked with residents. “There are questions for the contractor who is building a residential complex on the site of the Geologist boarding house. The ground collapsed right under the construction site, as a result of which a car was buried and households were flooded with water,” notes Yanina Pavlenko.
People will be provided with assistance in restoring order, the official assured.
The head of the Yalta administration also visited the Vasilievka microdistrict, where a rising river destroyed a bridge in the area of Donskoy Street.
There are no cut-off houses there, we plan to restore the bridge in the future!, — emphasizes Yanina Pavlenko.
After touring the territory, the preliminary results of the rampant disaster and the elimination of the consequences were summed up at a meeting of the emergency commission in the Yalta administration. In particular, based on its results, the head of the Yalta administration reported that the damaged internal driveways in Krasnokamenka and Vasilievka, examined during the inspection, would be placed on the balance sheet of the municipal budgetary institution «Daewoo» for further putting them in order. As for Gurzuf, an appeal was sent to the Ministry of Housing Policy of the Republic of Crimea regarding the verification of design solutions for the collection and drainage of storm water on Geologov Street.
We ask that the Seismic and Landslide Hazard Center be involved in assessing the situation with the collapsed retaining wall in Alupka on Amet-Khana Sultana. After their conclusion we will make a decision. As for apartment buildings, where the capital repair fund carried out roofing work and flooded apartments, this week employees of management companies will draw up damage reports, contractors are already working on the groundsays Yanina Pavlenko.
She also clarified that following the meeting of the emergency commission, the municipal control department was instructed to check access to storm drains and sewers; it should not be blocked by private fences and buildings.
Also, according to the head of the Yalta administration, this week the affected households will be examined by a commission, and mechanisms to help people are being worked out.
