For 9 months of 2023, the Civil Registry Office departments of the Civil Registry Office Department of the Ministry of Justice of Crimea registered 10,755 records of marriage registration acts. This number of marriages is higher than the number in the same period last year. At that time, 9,153 family unions were registered.

This year, marriages took place more often as expected — in September, which is traditionally the wedding month; 2,133 family unions were registered last month. In August, 1,558 marriages were registered, in July – 1,660, in June – 1,383, in May – 653, in April – 1,020, in March – 965, in February – 609 and in January – 774.

At the same time, newlyweds more often chose the Simferopol regional registry office department; over 9 months, 2,499 pairs of lovers became spouses in this registry office department; the registry office of the city of Simferopol came in second place with 1,935 registered marriages, then the Yalta city registry office department, which registered 791 couples. lovers, Kerch city registry office department — 742 and Evpatoria city registry office department — 737 marriages— reported the Republican Ministry of Justice.

Let us add that the average age of newlyweds for 9 months of this year was between 24-29 years. This year, the newlyweds have become a little younger than those getting married last year, then the average age of newlyweds for the same period was between 26-32 years.

Of the total number of registered marriages, 18% are couples over 50 and under 60 years old, another 11% are couples over 60 and under 75 years old, 6% are couples between 75 and up to 92 years old (this is the age at which one of the oldest grooms was in the republic this year).
