On October 1, in the village of Oktyabrskoye, Krasnogvardeisky district, the second stage of the championship of the Republic of Crimea in drag racing (Drag Racing) will be held. The runway will be the venue. Drivers will compete in seven classes, the organizers said.
Tire screeching, puffs of smoke, a few seconds and victory. This type of racing on a strictly limited section of the road has many fans, the organizers of the Crimean competitions say. The event in Oktyabrsky will be able to visit everyone, the organizers said.
Races will feature non-standard cars or models that are not normally considered fast cars. This makes the races spectacular and often unpredictable.
The program includes sprint races with the participation of two cars. Riders will cover a distance of ¼ mile — 40,34 meters. By the way, the length of the route in Oktyabrsky is 2 thousand meters, the width is 40 meters.
Racers will compete for prizes in the following classes:
FSL (Fast Street Light) — any cars with an engine capacity up to 1800 cc. cm;
FSB (Fast Street B) — any cars with an engine size from 336 to 336 cube cm;
FSA (Fast Street A) — any cars with an engine size from 2501 to 1800 cc. cm;
USA (Unlimited Street A) — any cars with an engine capacity of 3601 cc. cm;
USB (Unlimited Street B) any vehicles with an engine capacity of 3601 cc. cm;
UNLIM Street Pro (handicap) — any cars, regardless of their participation in other classes and independently declaring the time of passing the distance;
UNLIM SPORT — cars passing the distance in less than ,0 sec.
Three winners will be determined in each class. The winners will be awarded cups, medals and diplomas.
Those wishing to attend the races must pay for the entrance to the territory of the event 12 rubles per person (children under the age of 11 years pass free of charge). The organizers recommend that viewers carry umbrellas with them to hide from direct sunlight if the weather is relatively warm. The beginning of the competition is at 12: 00.
