For guests of the Green Festival, “Tavrida.ART” held 200 master classes per day

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Guests of the Green Festival — residents of Crimea and other southern regions of Russia — got acquainted with current trends in creating natural crafts with their own hands. For them, Tavrida.ART, together with the partners of the art cluster, conducted 200 master classes in one day. The green festival took place on October 19 on the territory of the Tavrida art cluster in Sudak. The event became a big family holiday, where everyone was able to take part in landscaping the south-eastern Crimea by planting young seedlings of trees and shrubs.

Participants of the Green Festival were able to contribute to the natural heritage of Crimea not only through the creation of forest plantations on the Black Sea coast, but also by mastering the trendy “green” theme — popular areas of master classes on crafts made from natural materials. The guests managed to bring a little living nature into their lives, learning to make unusual and useful things with their own hands: creating compositions from succulents, sewing aroma bags, weaving macrame and string bags, making natural candles and lip balms and much more.

Adults and children were able to demonstrate their creative skills at master classes on painting on natural materials — this makes it possible not only to create an original author’s item, but also to increase awareness and responsibility towards nature. Those who wished to master the techniques of painting on tree cuts, candlesticks and pots. Master classes on creating crafts from garbage helped draw attention to the problems of environmental pollution, after which you won’t want to throw away used materials from which you can make beautiful things: fabric flowers, paper compositions, eco-cards, stylized notebooks.

One of the major partners was the Polytechnic Museum, which held workshops for guests: “Engineer’s Office”, “Architecture of Nature”, “Kinetic Sculptures” and “Light Laboratories”. The Polytechnician explained natural physical phenomena to big and small people in simple language, demonstrated how nature “works,” for example, where the wind comes from, the difference between fog and steam, or how to weigh air.
