For participation in a special operation, a senior lieutenant from Sevastopol with the call sign “Harpoon” was presented with an award

Soldiers and officers of the Russian Armed Forces show courage and heroism during a special operation in Ukraine. One of them is a senior lieutenant with the call sign “Harpoon”.

I was in the special operation zone from February 24, 2022 for nine months. The tasks were different and changed depending on the situation, but the most basic was the protection of critical infrastructure and the prevention of sabotage by the enemy. Each of the assigned tasks was successfully completed— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the serviceman.

The man’s decision was supported by his family.

Everyone was understanding. They know that I don’t like loud phrases, but simply love them and my city and am ready to defend them at any moment. The most important thing is that they believe in me, love and support me, so it is much easier to endure all the hardships of military service“, notes the man.

For participation in the special operation, the senior lieutenant was nominated for the medal “For Military Valor”, II degree.

Let us remind you that military personnel are provided with about 15 federal and regional benefits and guarantees, including those received by participants in the special operation: official housing or compensation for rental housing, life and health insurance, credit and tax holidays, additional benefits and guarantees of constituent entities of the Russian Federation and others.
