Saki operatives caught a local resident committing remote theft. An overly “resourceful” Crimean woman will answer before the law under Part 3 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The suspect could face a maximum sentence of 6 years in prison.
An 89-year-old elderly woman from the city of Saki made a statement to the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs «Saki», who reported that she had discovered that funds were missing from her bank account. The total damage amounted to 224 thousand rubles. Criminal investigation officers identified and detained a suspect in the crime. She turned out to be a 59-year-old acquaintance of the victim from the Saki district, who had access to the pensioner’s bank card and knew her PIN code— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.
The attacker admitted that for six months she had been withdrawing money from the applicant’s bank card and spending it on personal needs. A criminal case has been opened. A preventive measure in the form of a recognizance not to leave the place was chosen against the woman.
