For the front and Victory: Yalta volunteers of the People's Network project made more than 800 camouflage nets

The Yalta branch of the all-Russian project “People’s Network”, which was organized by Vladimir Grubnik, began its work in Yalta in March of this year. Among the first volunteers was Lina Nikolaevna Meleshko, an 86-year-old Yalta woman who survived the war and occupation (only by the will of fate she did not end up a passenger on the ship «Armenia»).

I saw a call on the Internet that volunteers were needed to weave nets. And Lina is always there when needed! She came and got involved. Now I can teach others. This is my new family because the people here are kind and open-hearted.says Lina Nikolaevna Meleshko.

As Anna Smolnikova, curator of the “People’s Network” project in Yalta, noted, there are about 30 such strong-willed women in the core team who come to weave networks on a regular basis.

Now we have three workshops and in them we make up to 10 camouflage nets per day, measuring three by six meters. One of these can cover a gun, and by attaching several together, it can cover a tank. It is important that we weave nets as close as possible to the standards of the Ministry of Defense, in accordance with GOST — they reliably protect soldiers and save livessays Anna Smolnikova.

The military has a constant demand for such consumables as camouflage nets, and in large quantities. Volunteers work daily from 9 am to evening, on weekends and holidays! And still there are not enough hands. “People’s Network” is waiting for everyone who is ready to help in its permanent “workshops” at Lomonosov, 27 (Social Service Center) and Rudansky, 8 (Culture Center). And also in a new place — in Simeiz, on the street. Sovetskaya, 39 in the room allocated for volunteers by the management of the Yunost sanatorium.
