For the time being, an illegal pawnshop operated in the Nizhnegorsky region of Crimea
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In the Nizhnegorsky region of Crimea, the prosecutor’s office conducted an inspection of compliance with legal requirements in the credit and banking sector.
During the visit to the scene, the district prosecutor’s office established that activities were underway at the address to issue loans secured by jewelry. Facts of concluding loan agreements and issuing mortgage tickets, for which the pawnshop is the pledge holder, were also revealed. In fact, officials organized the veiled activity of a pawnshop, that is, the issuance of loans to citizens for a period of 30 days in the amount of the goods pledged as collateral, the assessment of which was carried out by the lender, with the charging of an interest rate for using the loan— reported the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Crimea.
It is emphasized that according to information from the State Register of Pawnshops, this pawnshop was excluded from the register back in 2021. Based on the violations identified, the prosecutor opened an administrative case against the individual entrepreneur under Part 2 of Art. 14.56 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (carrying out professional activities in providing consumer loans repeatedly).
Based on the results of consideration of the prosecutor’s decision, the guilty person was brought to administrative responsibility in the form of a fine in the amount of 60 thousand rubles.
