“Ford Focus” goes to the state, the owner of the car goes to the colony. Crimean citizen pays for drunk driving
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Bakhchisaray district prosecutor’s office supported the state prosecution in a criminal case against a previously convicted local resident. The Crimean was found guilty under Part 2 of Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (driving a vehicle by a person who is intoxicated and has a criminal record for a similar crime).
The court found that the man, having a criminal record for driving while intoxicated, did not draw the appropriate conclusions for himself and in November last year, after drinking alcohol, he again began driving a Ford Focus car. Moving along Simferopolskaya Street in the city of Bakhchisarai, the convict was stopped by traffic police officers— reported the prosecutor’s office.
The court, taking into account the existing criminal record and the position of the state prosecutor, sentenced the man to 6 months in prison with deprivation of the right to drive all types of vehicles for 4 years. The convicted person will serve his sentence in a settlement colony. A Ford Focus car belonging to the convicted person was confiscated to the state. The verdict did not enter into legal force.
