The story of the fatal accident in Simferopol received a logical continuation (we wrote about this the day before). Crimean social activist (his membership in the Public Chamber of the Republic of Crimea has been suspended and, most likely, will not be renewed) Oleg Shcherbakov, suspected of committing a fatal accident in the center of Simferopol while intoxicated, was taken into custody at the request of the investigator. At the request of an investigator of the Investigative Committee, the Kiev District Court of the city of Simferopol chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for a member of the Public Chamber of the Republic of Crimea in connection with his committing a traffic accident while intoxicated, as a result of which the driver of one of the cars died. The investigation charged him under paragraph “a” of Part 4 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The investigation of the criminal case continues and is under the personal control of the head of the State Investigative Directorate for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol V.N. Terentyevathe message says.
Let us remind you that on September 8, on Kievskaya Street, Shcherbakov drove into oncoming traffic and crashed into two cars. The Crimean social activist was drunk. All three drivers were injured, one of them died.
