Forty-year-old Ukrainian convicted of sexual crimes against children in Kerch and Feodosia

The evidence collected by the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol was deemed by the court to be sufficient to pass a guilty verdict against a 40-year-old Ukrainian citizen who lived in Feodosia for sexual crimes against children (clause «b» of part 5 of Article 132, part 3 of Article 135 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
The Investigative Department of the city of Kerch and the court established that from March 2020 to May 2023, the man looked for children walking without adult supervision in playgrounds in the courtyards of multi-story buildings in Feodosia and Kerch. After a short conversation, and in some cases with an offer of money, he committed sexual acts against them.
Subsequently, several girls reported the incident to their parents, who immediately contacted law enforcement agencies.– the Investigative Committee reported.
Investigators and police officers identified 13 minors who suffered from the actions of the suspect.
The court found the man guilty of the crimes he was charged with and sentenced him to 12 years of imprisonment in a strict regime penal colony. After serving his sentence, the convicted person will not be able to work with minors for 7 years.
