On November 20, the second international forum “Dialogue about fakes 2.0”, organized by the ANO “Dialogue Regions”, is taking place in Moscow. More than 1,000 fact checkers (fact checking is the process of checking the factual accuracy of dubious messages and statements), as well as experts, government officials, the media and the business community from 65 countries, including the USA, Australia, Argentina, Uruguay, Peru, take part in the event. France, Ireland, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, Great Britain, Germany and others.

The forum’s business program includes 7 sessions. Participants will discuss issues of countering fakes, and also exchange best practices and approaches to solving this problem. During the forum, a memorandum on the creation of the International Fact-Checking Association will be signed and unique research on the impact of unreliable information and methods of combating it will be presented.

At the forum we will present the concept of the International Fact-Checking Association. She will focus on protecting Internet users from fake information, the amount of which is growing every day. Our doors will be open to representatives of all countries who fight disinformation if they share our values and are ready to objectively present the facts,” said Vladimir Tabak, General Director of ANO “Dialog” and ANO “Dialogue Regions”.

TASS is the strategic partner of the forum. The international session is held with the participation of RT.
