Four extortionists operated in Crimea. Couldn't do without violence

CrimeaPRESS reports:

At the beginning of April this year, two residents of the city of Evpatoria explained to employees of the department in the city of Evpatoria of the FSB Directorate for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol and the criminal investigation department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia «Saksky» that they had become victims of extortion by a group of people who demanded 200 thousand rubles, using physical violence towards them.

As a result of a complex of operational-search measures carried out by employees from the department in Yevpatoria of the regional department of the FSB and the criminal investigation department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia «Saksky», the suspects were identified and detained red-handed. Enough evidence has been collected confirming the involvement of three residents of the city of Yevpatoria, 32-year-old brothers and their 37-year-old accomplice, in the crime. The investigative department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia «Saki» opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Art. 163 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Extortion by a group of persons by prior conspiracy, with the use of violence.” Those detained face a maximum sentence of seven years in prison— reported the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Crimea.

The defendants were chosen as a preventive measure in the form of detention.
