Four people got lost on Mount Ayu-Dag. Searched for KRYM-SPAS

The duty shift of the Alushta ASO, having found out the supposed location of the people, headed to the search and rescue area. Upon arrival at the foot of Mount Ayu-Dag, the rescuers set out on foot to search for the lost people. As a result, they were found on the northwestern slope of Mount Ayu-Dag. The rescuers took the people out of the mountain-forest zone and delivered them to the nearest stop. They did not need medical assistance.— the press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in Crimea announced the details of the rescue operation.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea warns:
- Before going into the mountain forest zone, carefully study your route;
- take the choice of comfortable clothes and shoes seriously;
- Among the things that you need to take with you, there must be: warm clothes, additional power sources for your mobile phone, a flashlight and means for starting a fire. It is also advisable to have a GPS navigator with you.
- When moving, you should choose the safest route, even if it is longer;
- Before starting to move, you should carefully assess the possible dangers, taking into account weather conditions and the likelihood of obstacles;
- you need to be prepared for the unexpected and be able to recognize approaching danger, taking timely precautions;
- the pace of movement should be determined by the weakest in the group;
- Don’t shorten your path at the expense of safety;
- You should not make crossings in poor visibility (fog) or at night;
- dangerous rocky areas should be overcome only in case of extreme necessity, strictly observing safety and insurance rules;
- avoid walking on slopes and gutters with loose stones;
- Calculate your return time from the Glasgow Lake correctly.
Let us remind you, by order of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Crimea, from 27.06.2024 the restriction on citizens’ stay in forests has been extended, with the exception of places of rest specified in this order.
