Friday snowfall in Crimea: the road to Ai-Petri is closed, travel through the passes is free

Snowfall in Crimea added more work to road and utility services. «Krymavtodor» brought out almost all the equipment (129 units) for processing highways and passes.

All branches have been transferred to enhanced operating mode. We continue to eliminate the consequences of snowfall, — reported the State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Crimea «Krymavtodor». – More than 2,200 km were cleared per day. Highways. 1105 tons of sand-salt mixture and 230 cubic meters of liquid reagent were consumed.

Travel through the Angarsky and Grushevsky passes is guaranteed. The cleaning cycle in these areas is every 20-30 minutes.

But the passage to the Ai-Petri plateau is closed due to heavy snowfall. We don’t know what will happen on the weekend, but the entrances from both Sokolinoe and Yalta are blocked.

By the way, there is just not enough snow on the mountain plateau itself. From a discussion in the VK group Weather on Ai-Petri:

There is snow, but there is still not enough for full-fledged skiing or boarding. The lift is expected to operate this weekend, weather permitting.
