From January 1, 2024, old-age insurance pensions in Russia will increase by 7.5%

The increase in pensions for non-working pensioners will affect more than 32 million citizens.

The State Duma adopted in the second and third readings law on increasing pensions for non-working pensioners in 2024. As the Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin emphasized, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin instructed to legislatively ensure the solution of this issue.

According to the document, the average size provision of recipients insurance pension will increase by 1,572 rubles — before 22,605 rublesand for recipients old age pensions for 1,631 rubles — before 23,449 rubles.

From January 1, 2024, old-age insurance pensions will increase by 7.5%. This decision will affect more than 32 million citizens, said Vyacheslav Volodin. — All the funds necessary to support pensioners have already been included in the draft federal budget. Additional budget expenditures for increasing pensions in 2024 will amount to about 234 billion rubles.

It is proposed to increase the size of the fixed payment to the old-age and disability insurance pension for no more than three disabled family members, parent-guardians of persons who are incapacitated and disabled since childhood (if these persons are not fully supported by the state), who are dependent on a great-grandfather or great-grandmothers
