From July 26, a ban on visiting forests will be in effect in Sevastopol

On July 26, the order of the Sevastopol Supervision Authority on restricting visits to forests for 21 days comes into force. Measures to ensure fire safety in forests and specially protected natural areas of the city were discussed at a meeting of the Sevastopol Government chaired by Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev.

Starting from July 26, only emergency services employees, Sevprirodnadzor employees, foresters, and people who need to get to their home or dacha will be able to enter or go into forests, provided that there is no other road except the forest road. Entrances to forests are blocked by barriers. He ordered increased patrolling of forests. At the same time, a list of places where you can rest has been approved, provided that fire safety rules are observed— the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes Mikhail Razvozhaev.

List of recreation areas on the territory of the Sevastopol forestry, permitted for visiting during the period of restrictions:

— «Sapun-Mountain»;

— the Golden Beach tract (the Black Sea coastline);

— the “Near Beach” tract;

— recreation area «Alsu»;

— recreation area «Dry River»;

— the tract «Ayazma» (Fig);

— the Toropova Dacha tract;

— «Sail Rock»;

— «Turkish meadow»;

— recreation area «Uzundzha»;

— recreation area “Cape Sarych”;

— «35th Anniversary of Victory Park» (Fat Man);

— «The Third Cordon».

It is prohibited to make fires and use barbecues everywhere except in the Toropova Dacha area.

This year, 13 forest fires with a total area of ​​just over five hectares have been recorded in Sevastopol, with firefighting costs amounting to 202.9 thousand rubles. Over the past week from July 15 to 21, no forest fires or fires in specially protected natural areas have been recorded. Given the unfavorable fire situation, citizens are informed on a daily basis: in the media, on television, and on social networks,» noted Yulia Gavrilova, head of Sevastopol’s Supervision Authority for Natural Resources.

Patrolling of forests is carried out by the Directorate of Specially Protected Natural Areas and Forestry and the Sevastopol Forestry. Volunteers are also involved in patrolling. 120 preventive talks and 35 raids were conducted. Two raids were conducted jointly with the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of which three reports were drawn up, a report with administrative liability, a report on violation of Article 8.39 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation.

From July 15 to 21, work was completed to renew 70 km of mineralized strips, reconstruct forest roads, lay and maintain breaks, and improve recreation areas.

Let us recall that, according to the order on restricting visits to forests, restrictions on entry of vehicles are being introduced throughout the entire territory of the Sevastopol forestry, with the exception of:

— vehicles of forest fire brigades, emergency services, fire departments, emergency rescue teams;

— official vehicles of the Northern Supervision Authority;

— official vehicles of the Sevastopol forestry;

— official vehicles of the Directorate of Protected Areas and Forestry;

— vehicles of forest users;

— vehicles of citizens traveling through the territory of the Sevastopol forestry to places of permanent residence, gardening and horticulture, which they own, lease, or hold under other types of rights in the absence of alternative access.

A restriction is being introduced on the stay of citizens on the territory of the Sevastopol forestry, with the exception of:

— recreation areas permitted for visiting;

— passage through the territory of the Sevastopol forestry to places of permanent residence, gardening and horticulture, which are in their ownership, lease, or owned under other types of rights in the absence of alternative access.

During the period of restrictions on the territory of the Sevastopol forestry, the following is prohibited:

— the use of devices that produce any products, generate electricity or convert one type of energy into another;

— making open fires, lighting barbecues, braziers, electric and gas stoves, primus stoves and similar devices;

— launching pyrotechnic products, conducting agricultural fires, burning solid municipal waste and garbage;

— the use of vessels with excess internal pressure for storing compressed, liquefied and dissolved gases under pressure;

— mooring of water transport, with the exception of cases of delivering citizens to recreation areas permitted for visiting during the period of restrictions;

— implementation of procurement and collection of non-timber forest resources.
