From June 16, a special fire regime will begin to operate in Sevastopol

At a meeting of the Government of Sevastopol, chaired by the governor, a decision was made to introduce a special fire regime in the region. It will act until the strengthening or stabilization of fire safety.

During the passage of a special fire regime, prohibitions on:

  • conducting agricultural pallets, breeding bonfires and burning garbage in the territories of settlements, horticultural partnerships and in forests;
  • burning of grass near forests, protective plantations and agricultural lands;
  • The use of barbecue and devices for heat treatment with open fire — with the exception of catering organizations.

In addition, by order of the Department of Natural Resources and Ecology, the access of citizens and transport to the forests will be temporarily limited, as well as the work there up to 21 days.

Increased penalties for violation of these requirements are also provided.

The purpose of the introduction of the regime is to prevent emergency situations and ensure the safety of citizens in the fire hazardous period.

Recall that the ban on the launch of pyrotechnics within the city is already valid since December 1, 2023 in accordance with the Decree of the Governor of Sevastopol.
