Since September 2021, the Russians simplified more than 500 thousand such objects, Rosreestr said. Garage amnesty is valid until September 1, 2026. Before this period, people can arrange a garage and land according to a simplified scheme. Oleg Skufinsky emphasized that people are actively using garage amnesty. Since the beginning of its action, the Russians in a simplified manner issued 180 thousand garages and 338 thousand land plots. In 2024, citizens registered almost 200 thousand objects. According to the simplified scheme, 64.6 thousand garages and 135.1 thousand plots were issued. This is 11% more than in 2023.

The authorities consider the possibility of prolonging the garage amnesty, the head of Rosreestr noted. Thanks to this, more Russians will be able to use the simplified procedure for registering objects. Skufinsky added that this mechanism is regularly improved. In November 2024, amendments began to operate, which allowed to register two -story garages and land under them.
