Garbage, children, animators… What irritates tourists the most on vacation?
CrimeaPRESS reports:
We all go on vacation to relax, reboot before a new job or study. But there are factors that interfere with this — everyone has their own. Then they complain about them to acquaintances, write threads with hundreds of comments on social networks. Children interfere with someone, animals interfere with someone, noisy companies located nearby on a crowded beach in Sochi or another crowded resort interfere with others.
Russian vacation rental booking service TVIL.RU conducted a survey among his subscribers in social networks: «What annoys you the most on vacation.» And here is a rating of everything that can ruin a vacation.
1. In the first place is the garbage that tourists leave behind. This irritant was indicated by 68% of voters.* Of course, on equipped beaches and picnic areas, special services monitor the cleanliness of the place. And yet, there are still many wild areas and sections of the coast, where the amount of garbage is still amazing. And one can hardly hope that over time this place will turn into something like the Glass Bay, which Vladivostok is now proud of — such a miracle, it is one-time.
2. In second place are animators who pester with offers to take pictures with birds or animals — they were chosen by 52% of subscribers. Anapa, Gagra and other resort towns are filled with such “animal lovers” with the onset of the season and it is often quite difficult to get rid of them.
3. In third place are noisy companies behind the wall in the hotel, which received 50% of the votes. And this is really a shame — you came to rest, but you can’t get enough sleep, and often even the hotel staff do not want or cannot do anything.
4. 34% of voters were against smokers on the beach. Surprisingly, although smoking is prohibited in public places, many still manage to spoil the opportunity for other vacationers to breathe clean air on a crowded beach. At the same time, they can aggressively defend “their right”.
5. Music and loud calls in public places spoil the mood of 31% of voters. Some people definitely need to inform others about what they are doing now, with whom they are talking, what they are watching and listening to. And it doesn’t matter to them that people around would like to listen to … silence.
6. Traffic jams on the southern roads infuriate 27% of all voters. Of course, you want to get to your destination as quickly as possible. But after all, people around also want this, so until mass personal air transport has been mastered, traffic jams are a reality given to us in sensations. And when will it be mastered …
7. Children playing noisily nearby received 23% of «anti-votes». Of course, children should not be forced to sit decorously on the beach. And yet, if the children are already old enough to not walk constantly under the supervision of their parents, maybe parents should explain to them that everyone has personal boundaries?
8. Speaking of personal boundaries. Obsessive conversations on the beach, in a hotel, on the road annoy 20% of those who voted. Not surprisingly, not everyone appreciates the «fellow traveler effect» and is ready to interact with him/her.
9. Inscriptions on rocks like “Vasya was here” annoy 14% of our subscribers. These inscriptions can spoil even the most beautiful rocky or seascape — and they are quite difficult to erase. It seems that people are ready to leave at least some trace behind them.
10. Non-compliance with the rules of hand luggage in the cabin annoys 7% of voters. Remember how unpleasant it is when you can’t put your bag down because the luggage racks are already occupied by other people’s suitcases, down jackets, backpacks? However, if you are flying in an airplane, then the vacation is already over … or just beginning, so there is no need to spoil your mood before resting or starting work. In any case, we wish you to relax exactly the way you like it. Let nothing spoil your mood — and you do not spoil it for others. Don’t make too much noise, try not to violate personal boundaries, don’t write on stones… and of course, don’t litter.
