“Gardener”… A resident of Feodosia was convicted of possession and cultivation of cannabis

The Feodosia City Court of the Republic of Crimea sentenced a 58-year-old local resident for illegal large-scale cultivation of plants containing narcotic drugs and illegal possession without the purpose of selling parts of plants containing significant amounts of narcotic drugs.
The court found that from May to August 2023, the defendant illegally stored parts of hemp plants weighing 55.70 g at his place of residence, and also cultivated 34 hemp bushes. After ripening, he tore a part from the hemp bush he had grown, and placed the substance of plant origin in a utility room at his place of residence, where he illegally stored parts of plants containing a narcotic drug for personal consumption, without the purpose of sale. During the authorized search, police officers discovered and seized parts of hemp plants weighing 55.70 g, as well as 34 hemp bushesnoted the press service of the court.
At the court hearing, the defendant fully admitted his guilt in the crime.
When sentencing, the court took into account information about the defendant’s personality, mitigating circumstances and the absence of aggravating circumstances.
Taking into account the circumstances of the case, the court sentenced the man to 6 (six) months of restriction of freedom, imposing the following restrictions on the convict: not to leave his place of permanent residence from 11 p.m. until 07.00 o’clock. in the morning of the next day, do not attend mass events, do not travel outside the territory of the municipality of the urban district of Feodosia of the Republic of Crimea, do not change the place of residence or stay, place of work and (or) study without the consent of the specialized government body supervising the serving of a sentence by a convicted person restrictions on freedom.
The verdict did not enter into legal force.
