Getting to Crimea has become easier. A new road «Novotroitskoye — Chaplynka» has been opened
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Russian President Vladimir Putin took part in the opening of a 71 km section of the two-lane Novotroitskoye – Chaplinka highway in the Kherson region via videoconferencing.
According to road workers, it is this section that solves the strategic task: the land route connecting the southern regions of our country with the central regions along the north of the Sea of Azov to Crimea and back has been fully formed.
A year ago it was impossible to drive here at all, we drove on the side of the road, and today there are 17 settlements, 11 schools, 10 medical institutions, including three district hospitals — the road allows you to get from one place to another without any obstacles. It was important for us to open this road in September, just in time for the school periodsaid Vyacheslav Petushenko, Chairman of the Board of the State Company Avtodor.
Kherson Governor Volodymyr Saldo is confident that a great deal has been done.
For such a large and powerful country, 71 kilometers is not much, but for the Kherson region and for the residents of the Kherson region and, most importantly, for all those who are now traveling to and from Crimea, this road has already connected the Azov Sea with the Black Sea and will continue further. This land route for passenger exchange, transport, cargo flow is becoming very stable, namely with Crimea— noted Saldo.
In total, Russian road builders have put more than 3,000 km of roads in order in the new regions. Plans include repairing another 8,000 km, including the city road network.
