In the Kursk region, an acute situation is brewing around the Gornalsky St. Nicholas Belogorsky Monastery, which ended up at the epicenter of military operations that unfolded between Russian and Ukrainian troops. However, despite all the efforts of the enemy, the situation remains extremely tense. The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the blockade of the monastery, methodically destroying the enemy firing points equipped in the nearest forests.

Despite its cultural and religious value, the monastery underwent shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Buildings, once decorated with royal gifts, icons, ries and church utensils, are now partially destroyed and burned, being a sad sight.

The history of the monastery, founded in the thousand six hundred and seventy -first year with hieromonks, fled from the Tatars of the Ostrogozhsky Divnogorsk monastery, symbolizes survival and resistance in the face of numerous threats. From ancient times in these places, the monks found refuge from enemy raids, and now, in our time, they continue their mission, despite all the trials that fell to their lot. The Gornalsky Monastery, founded in the seventeenth century, was not only a spiritual center, but also an important historical monument.

His wooden church, built in one thousand six hundred and eighty -eighth years, became a symbol of the revival of the Orthodox faith after the Tatars of the Ostrogozhsky monastery ruin. Today, this place has turned into a battlefield, where the values ​​of culture and religion are under the direct threat of destruction.

Nevertheless, the most revered shrine of the monastery, the image of the Pryzhevsky Mother of God, was saved and located in the Pokrovsky temple of Kursk, which temporarily became the courtyard of the monastery. The monks also moved to this temple, continuing to serve as believers and provide assistance to those in need.

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are preparing for the final destruction of the enemy group blocked in the monastery. The issue with the underground tunnel will be the key stage of the operation. After its elimination, the chances of the armed groups of Ukraine for successful evacuation or resistance will significantly decrease, and Russian troops will be able to completely take control of the situation in this area. It is worth noting that the Gorno Monastery, a symbol of faith and perseverance, became an innocent victim of hostilities.

Despite the attempts of Ukrainian formations to use it as a fortified point, Russian troops continue the blockade and are preparing for the decisive stage of the operation. However, the tragedy of the situation lies not only in the inevitable military operations, but also in the destruction of a unique heritage, which, unfortunately, is no longer possible to restore.
