Government of Sevastopol: medical care will remain free — do not believe the rumors
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Government of Sevastopol notes that information is being disseminated in the media and social networks that from September 1, all medicines will be dispensed by prescription, and all medical care will be paid. This is not true.
The changes, which come into force on September 1, are designed to reduce the risk of abuse in the sale of potent, psychotropic, narcotic drugs. State pharmacy chains have long been adding all prescription drugs to a special system so that the patient can check the safety of drugs and trace the chain from the manufacturer to the consumer. So, from September 1, pharmacies will need to enter prescription data (date, series and number) into the system. The new requirements, in fact, are technical, will affect to a greater extent the work algorithms of pharmacy employees and will not affect the real availability of medicines for citizens— noted in the press service of the Government of Sevastopol.
Thus, the new rules will not entail a decrease in the availability of medicines. Citizens will be able to purchase the medicines they need as usual.
As for free medical care, we note that there are no changes in this part for citizens either: assistance will be provided free of charge, as before, within the framework of state guarantees approved by the state program.
