Great-grandmothers and great-grandfathers of Sevastopol can receive an additional payment to their pension for great-grandchildren who are dependent on them

In 2024, Sevastopol great-grandmothers and great-grandfathers received the right to an increased fixed payment to their old-age or disability pension if they are supporting great-grandchildren who do not have able-bodied parents. In this case, the Sevastopol Department of the Social Fund of Russia increases their fixed payment to their pension by a third. The additional payment is made for both working and non-working pensioners.

The additional payment is due for great-grandchildren under the age of 18. If they are studying full-time, the additional payment is made until they reach 23 years of age, or after 23 years of age if they have been diagnosed with a disability since childhood. No more than three dependents are taken into account., — the press service quotes Elena Gaivoronskaya, manager of the Social Fund Department for Sevastopol.

The fixed pension payment in 2024 is 8,134.88 rubles. Accordingly, a third of the supplement for one great-grandchild is 2,711 rubles, for two — 5,422 rubles, for three — 8,134 rubles.

To recalculate your pension, you must submit an application to any client service of the Russian Social Fund Department in Sevastopol, the MFC, or on the public services portal. Along with the application, you must provide documents confirming the relationship of great-grandchildren and great-grandmothers, great-grandfathers (birth certificates, marriage certificates, etc.)
