Guests of Sevastopol attacked a foreigner and stole his documents
CrimeaPRESS reports:
An investigator of the investigative unit of the Investigative Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Sevastopol completed a preliminary investigation of a criminal case against two residents of Krasnodar aged 34 and 35 years, previously repeatedly convicted of theft, robbery and drug trafficking, who are accused of robbery and theft of a passport and money from foreigner.
According to investigators, in October 2022, an unidentified man informed them that a citizen of a neighboring state living in Sevastopol could keep a large amount of money at home, and offered to jointly attack him in order to steal money. According to a pre-developed plan, three attackers, using the car of one of the accomplices, arrived at the victim’s place of residence in the daytime. There, having cut off power to the home, the raiders lured the tenant out of the apartment, introduced themselves as law enforcement officers and, showing a fake official ID, forced him to travel with them, allegedly to find out his involvement in a drug crime. The misled man complied and gave up his passport.,” noted the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sevastopol.
After this, the raiders took him to the forest, where, using a knife, hammer and pliers as weapons, they demanded that he give them one million rubles as a ransom for not bringing him to criminal responsibility.
Having learned that the citizen did not have that amount, they took 120 thousand rubles, as well as a gold chain and ring. However, this was not enough for the accomplices, so they returned to the victim’s apartment, where, in the presence of his mother, they took another 80 thousand rubles and disappeared. The total amount of material damage caused was almost 230 thousand rubles.
The members of the criminal group divided the jewelry and money obtained through robbery equally among themselves and subsequently spent it at their own discretion, and threw away the stolen passport.
As a result of operational search activities during a business trip, operatives of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol, with the force support of the Krasnodar National Guard, detained two suspects.
During the investigation, both defendants were given a preventive measure in the form of detention. Currently, the materials of the criminal case with the indictment approved by the prosecutor’s office of the city of Sevastopol have been sent to the court for consideration on the merits.
The case materials regarding the third accomplice in the robbery have been separated into separate proceedings. A search for him is underway.
